About

Born (1993) and raised in Deep River, CT to moving around the country; Baltimore, Chicago, Vermont, Western Mass - I have now found myself dwelling in Asheville, NC, where I intend to stay. In my creative practice I am foremost a ceramicist but I also dabble in quilting & metal-smithing. I have shown & sold my work, I have taught, & I have opened a community teaching/membership studio. My focus at the moment is on my studio practice.

Statement

Personifying inanimate objects, fine craftsmanship, long walks, the warm routines of my days, hopes & anxieties, getting lost in the details, & the extraordinary characters I encounter all work their way into my practice. I am grounded in functional pottery as a vessel to present these thought artifacts. The work draws attention (even my unsuspecting self) to where my mind is lingering, what it’s enjoying, & what it’s working through.
