about me;
Raised on family land I found myself surrounded by generations of my family, old tools, trucks parked to never move again, a large garden, & beautiful land. An abundant curiosity had me poking around the sheds/attics/basements & expansive land to look for treasures. Naturally inclined to work with my hands & fueled by my childhood there was no way I would end up not making utilitarian objects. In college I found clay & received my BFA in Ceramics from Maryland Institute College of Art. After I moved around from Chicago, Vermont/Western Massachusetts, & on to Asheville. My work is grounded in functional pottery as a vessel to present my inner world. Through my forms, illustrations, & glazing I hope to express the beauty, hopes, & anxieties of a life lived simply.
